Noo you're not getting worse, it just takes time and practice to adjust to painting in a different style! ;u;

For improvement, with semi realism I would highly suggest that you look up photo references! It will help a lot with not only anatomy, but also colors! Right now I've noticed that for shadows, you're using grey/black. If you use that, the piece ends up looking a bit flat, so try to avoid that! (Try looking up some color tutorials too!)

And when you're just starting out, look at some really good semi-realistic art! Observe how the artist draws/paints certain things like the hair, and also observe how they used colors/highlight/shadows to show form ;u; (artists like sakimichan, zeronis, etc)
